This new vision promises raw tension, gritty suspense, and a fresh take on one of history’s most infamous escapes.

Set in the mid-21st century, the story reimagines Alcatraz as a high-tech maximum-security facility revived to hold the world’s most dangerous criminals. But when a wrongly convicted man discovers the island prison is hiding dark government secrets, he hatches an impossible escape plan—sparking a battle of wits against guards, tides, and time itself.

Oscar Isaac leads the cast as Michael Raines, a brilliant yet broken man determined to defy the inescapable. Joining him is Cillian Murphy as Warden Harker, a ruthless strategist obsessed with maintaining Alcatraz’s reputation as unbreakable, and Zendaya as a fearless journalist on the outside who uncovers the truth behind the prison’s sinister rebirth.
