The Nun (2018) and The Nun II (2023) explored the origins of Valak, the terrifying demon in the form of a nun who first appeared in The Conjuring 2. After Sister Irene battled Valak in Romania and then in France, it was revealed that Valak may not be fully vanquished — and its power is spreading beyond holy ground.
🔥 Plot Concept: “Blood Sanctum”
Set in Italy, 1965, a series of gruesome murders plagues a sacred pilgrimage route in the Apennine Mountains. A remote sanctuary known as the Sanctum of the Veil becomes the epicenter of spiritual phenomena — weeping statues, inverted crosses, and vanishing priests.
Sister Irene is summoned by the Vatican once more after learning that the murders may be connected to an ancient relic — one believed to have been tainted by the blood of Valak during the events of The Nun II.
But this time, Valak isn’t simply haunting.
It’s possessing.
As Irene uncovers a conspiracy within the Church, she must confront not only the demon, but the truth about her own divine bloodline — and the role she may have been born to fulfill.
