Bedrock is back on the big screen—the first trailer for The Flintstones (2025) has dropped, bringing the prehistoric pop-culture icons into a vibrant live-action adventure for a whole new generation. Directed by Adam Shankman, this reimagining blends slapstick comedy, heartfelt family moments, and jaw-dropping practical effects with a dash of modern flair.
Set in the stone-age town of Bedrock, the film follows Fred Flintstone (John C. Reilly) and his best friend Barney Rubble (Josh Gad) as they stumble into a wild scheme involving a mysterious new invention that could change Bedrock forever—the “Wheel 2.0.” But when greedy tycoon Rockwell Slate (Stanley Tucci) sets his sights on the creation, Fred and Barney must team up with Wilma (Amy Adams) and Betty (Anna Kendrick) to save their town from being “modernized” out of existence.
The trailer bursts with colorful, oversized sets—dinosaur-powered cranes, brontosaurus bus rides, and foot-powered cars screeching through stone streets. Cinematographer Caleb Deschanel captures every gag and gorgeously detailed prehistoric backdrop, while composer Michael Giacchino infuses the score with playful xylophones, jazzy brass, and nostalgic nods to the original theme.
The cast also features Awkwafina as the quick-talking pterodactyl delivery bird and Jack Black as the boisterous announcer for Bedrock’s annual Rock Bowl.

Director Adam Shankman calls The Flintstones “a love letter to one of TV’s most enduring families—crafted to make parents nostalgic and kids laugh out loud.”
With its mix of wacky charm, inventive humor, and warm-hearted storytelling, The Flintstones (2025) looks ready to win over audiences of all ages.
